Job summary

AEITS, a GTSC company, is hiring a Software Engineer 2 for an on-site role in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will implement the MDAT system in Java and Python using AWS services, and build automated tests at functional and system levels.

You will work closely with system engineers within an agile process and prototype cloud solutions in AWS. Seven years of SWE experience in DoD programs are required, with a Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
• Seven (7) years' SWE experience in programs/contracts of similar scope and complexity is required.
• In lieu of a degree, certifications or fifteen years total experience may substitute.

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD.

~~~ All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

Mission: Seeking a Software Engineer 2 for the Implementation of automated tests at functional and system levels, Partnership with System engineers to execute the agile process, and prototyping of solution space in the AWS cloud

Clearance: Active Top Secret SCI with appropriate polygraph.

Certifications: None required. Desired: Project Management Institute PMP certification, Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) certification, or DAWIA Level III in any focus area.

Job Responsibilities:

Education and Experience:

Seven (7) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Requirements:

• Twelve (12) years of demonstrated combined experience in DoD/IC program management, contract management, and/or financial management, and a Bachelor's Degree with a business or technical focus is required.

• In lieu of a degree, Project Management Institute PMP certification, Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) certification, or DAWIA Level III in any focus area, and an additional three (3) years of directly related experience for a total of fifteen (15) years may be substituted.

• Familiarity with Plan-It is preferred.

• In lieu of certification, an additional three (3) years of directly related experience for a total of eighteen (18) years may be substituted.

• Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel is required to include demonstrated use of pivot tables, slicers, and pivot charts.
