Job summary

Midpage is hiring a software engineer to build the largest case law dataset, with Python and SQL at core. You’ll own data pipelines, ensure reliability of hundreds of web scrapers, and expose services via APIs from our SoHo, NYC office.

We value technical generalists, backend focus (fullstack a bonus), and comfort with data infra/devops. Visa sponsorship available; relocation not provided.

Qualifications

• Strong backend developer with data-pipeline experience.
• Experience building and maintaining web scrapers.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Building pipelines that augment documents with metadata and relationships.
• Ensuring reliability and accuracy of hundreds of web scrapers.
• Optimizing and evaluating core utilities for extraction and citation resolution.
• Exposing core services via APIs, MCPs, and websockets.
• Benchmarking and evaluating core tasks (human and synthetic).
