Job summary

CodeRoad is seeking a Software Engineer to bridge legacy Delphi systems with modern web apps. You’ll build and automate Zoho-based workflows and APIs, while interfacing with North American product teams. The role offers 100% remote work for LATAM contractors and competitive USD pay.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of software development experience, strong REST/SQL skills, and familiarity with Git and CI/CD. Azure or Zoho certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of professional software development bridging legacy platforms and modern web apps.
• REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and advanced SQL (MS SQL Server) for data management and integration.
• Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (Azure exposure or Zoho certifications are a plus).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and modernize legacy Delphi applications while contributing to next-gen web architectures.
• Develop and automate low-code solutions with Zoho applications; write Deluge scripts and workflows.
• Design web integrations and APIs, implement RESTful APIs and webhooks, and use Zoho Flow/Catalyst to sync data.
• Manage data and query performance with SQL queries on MS SQL Server and related platforms.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into well-tested, documented code with CI/CD and Git.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain & Modernize Legacy Platforms: Support, enhance, and optimize existing Delphi (Object Pascal) applications while actively participating in modernizing legacy features into next-generation web architectures .

Develop & Automate Low-Code Solutions: Build and customize Zoho applications (CRM, Creator, Desk, Books, Analytics), writing Deluge scripts, workflows, custom functions, and blueprints to automate business processes .

Design Web Integrations & APIs: Implement RESTful APIs, webhooks, and integrations via Zoho Flow/Catalyst to sync data seamlessly across Delphi, Zoho, database engines, and third-party systems .

Manage Data & Query Performance: Write efficient SQL queries and maintain data integrity across MS SQL Server and internal enterprise platforms .

Collaborate & Deliver Quality Code: Partner directly with product teams and business users to translate requirements into well-tested, documented code while practicing CI/CD and Git version control .

What You Bring

Core Experience: 2 to 4 years of professional software development experience bridging legacy platforms and modern web applications .

Integrations & Databases: Solid knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and advanced SQL (MS SQL Server) for data management and integration .

Modern Tooling & Cloud Exposure: Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (Azure exposure or Zoho certifications are a plus) .

Growth & Ownership Mindset: Eager to expand full stack expertise under senior engineering mentorship, take ownership of production issues, and communicate effectively with business stakeholders .

Communication: Fluent English (written and verbal) with the ability to collaborate directly with North American product managers and cross-functional teams .
