Qualifications

• 12+ years of programming experience in a relevant language OR 8+ years with a PhD
• Experience mentoring/influencing executive stakeholders
• Experience utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and provide solutions
• Experience driving large cross-functional/industry-wide engineering efforts
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant field, or equivalent
• Experience communicating across functions to drive solutions
• Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmaps aligning with long-term mission
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure applications (preferred)

Required Skills

Minimum Qualifications

4. Experience driving large cross-functional/industry-wide engineering efforts

5. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

6. Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions

7. Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmap in which short-term projects ladder to the long-term mission

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience in programming languages such as C, C++, or Java, and scripting languages such as Python, Javascript, or Hack

2. 8+ years relevant experience building large-scale infrastructure applications or similar experience

3. Experience improving quality through thoughtful code reviews, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes

4. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

5. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

6. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

$219,000/year to $301,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
