Job summary

PNC is seeking a Software Engineer Lead (Java Development & Application Support Lead) in the Technology organization. Based in Pittsburgh, PA, Philadelphia PA or Farmers Branch TX, you will drive design and implementation of large-scale Java applications and mentor a team of engineers.

You will lead development across Java/Spring Boot, Angular UI, REST/GraphQL APIs and Oracle SQL integrations in an Agile environment, delivering robust solutions for enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant/ direct industry experience preferred; leadership/mentoring experience
• Experience designing and developing software solutions with Java/Spring Boot
• Strong API development skills (REST/GraphQL) and SQL database support

Responsibilities

• Create and lead technical design and development of software solutions
• Propose and design software addressing complex business needs, with documentation
• Guide complex problem resolution and provide technical mentorship to teammates
• Review coding, testing, and documentation of software; ensure quality and standards
• Apply modern development methodologies to drive business initiatives
