We are hiring a Software Engineer - L3 Support to work on Linux-based infrastructure and applications, including bare metal, virtualization, containerization, storage, networking, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and open source applications. This role involves troubleshooting, bug fixing, upstream contributions, and collaborating with support and engineering teams.

Location: Remote, with teams across all time zones.

Responsibilities include:

1. Resolving complex customer issues related to Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, or Kubernetes.
2. Collaborating with support and engineering teams.
3. Participating in upstream communities and developing bug fixes.
4. Reviewing code and maintaining clear communication.
5. Managing work priorities and participating in team discussions.
6. Occasional international travel up to 10%.

Qualifications:

• Strong academic background, preferably in Computer Science or STEM.
• Experience with Linux and open source software.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Availability to travel up to 4 times a year.
