About the role

Responsibilities

1. Resolve complex customer problems related to Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, or Kubernetes and other open source software
2. Maintain relationships with Canonical's support and engineering teams
3. Participate in upstream communities and contribute bug fixes and patches
4. Review code and demonstrate good technical judgment
5. Manage work priorities effectively
6. Engage in team discussions to improve processes and documentation
7. Communicate clearly and concisely
8. Travel internationally up to 10% for team events and conferences

Qualifications

1. Strong academic background in Computer Science, STEM, or related fields
2. Experience with Linux and open source software
3. Proficiency in Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux
4. Willingness to learn new technologies and troubleshoot complex issues
5. Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year
