CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: A current and active TS/SCI clearance with a Maryland (MD) polygraph is required for consideration. The Software Engineers will focus on developing graphical user interfaces and dashboards, deploying and managing applications in an AWS cloud environment, integrating new functionality with established tools through tech transfer initiatives, automating key workflows, and integrating artificial intelligence (Al) and machine learning (ML) models into our workflows. The ideal candidate will be a versatile problem-solver with a strong foundation in software development principles and a passion for building innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user-friendly GUIs and interactive dashboards. Design, deploy, and manage applications and infrastructure in AWS. Integrate new features and functionalities into existing tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows to streamline processes.
• Integrate Al/ML models into existing systems to enhance functionality and improve decision-making. Monitor and optimize automated workflows and Al/ML model performance.
• Languages: Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• GUI/Dashboard: Basic understanding of UI/UX principles, experience with at least one JavaScript framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js-willingness to learn is key). Experience with Tkinter or similar Python GUI libraries is a plus.
• AWS: Foundational understanding of AWS core services (EC2, S3, Lambda).
• Automation/Al: Basic understanding of scripting for automation (Python preferred). Awareness of Al/ML concepts. Tools: Git (version control).
• Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to learn quickly, and excellent communication skills. Willingness to learn automation and Al/ML principles. The Level 0 Software Engineer (SWE) shall possess the following capabilities
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories. Requirements CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: A current and active TS/SCI clearance with a Maryland (MD) polygraph is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• No demonstrated experience is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
