Job Title:Mid-SrSoftware Engineer – JavaFX/Swing
Location:US Remote
Job-Type: 6-9 month Contract
Compensation:$60-75/hr
Referral Fee:$500-1,000

Position Description:
We’re looking for seasoned Java developers with strong UI development experience in JavaFX and/or Swing, and deep integration experience with Oracle Databases to support and enhance several mission-critical in-house applications in the life sciences domain.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Java thin-client applications using Swing and JavaFX.
• Implement new product features, make enhancements, and perform routine maintenance on high-value internal systems.
• Collaborate with backend developers and DBAs to optimize Oracle database integration.
• Work in Agile sprints, attending ceremonies and contributing to regular deliveries.
• Ensure all development work aligns with a structured, documentation-driven SDLC.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams, including biotech domain experts, QA, and DevOps.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• 1+ years building applications in life science or healthcare domain
• Strong expertise with JavaFX and/or Swing for desktop/thin-client applications.
• Proven experience with Oracle databases: SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning.
• Background in enhancing and maintaining enterprise systems.
• Agile team experience, delivering features and fixes in fast-paced sprint cycles.
• Bonus skills: Python, C#, cloud, and containerization
