Kforce Inc. is seeking a Hybrid Software Engineer IV in New York, NY. You will write advanced, complex code, lead architectural discussions, and perform code reviews to uphold standards.

Qualifications

• Familiar with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub workflow or Jenkins or related technology.
• Strong command on object-oriented design, design patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills; Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Strong proficiency with Angular frontend technologies.

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a hybrid Software Engineer IV to join their team in New York, NY. Responsibilities:

• Write advanced complex code for computer systems and serve as a senior source of expertise


• Perform code reviews to ensure enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed


• Experience working in an Agile environment such as scrum; Participate in stand‑ups, retrospectives, planning and other required meetings


• Manage system and user acceptance testing cycles to ensure accurate and quality business solutions


• Participate in the development and evolution of architecture


• Provide design input across a product


• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues


• Serve as a primary technical point of contact for external technology resources


• Act as a technology mentor to other engineers


• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required


• 8+ years of Software Engineering experience


• Experience in Agile development methodology


• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture


• Strong development experience in languages including but not limited to: Java, JavaScript, Go, python, HTML, CSS3, TypeScript, etc.


• Strong backend expertise building scalable, secure and high performing applications


• Familiar with SQL or NoSQL databases


• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub workflow or Jenkins or related technology


• Strong command on object‑oriented design, design patterns


• Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills; Effective communication and collaboration abilities


• Strong commitment to code quality, documentation, and testing


• Proficiency in front‑end technologies like Angular


• Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components


• Ability to design and work with complex data models

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
