Software Engineer IV (Finance)

Software Engineer IV wanted by Crowley Maritime Corporation, Jacksonville, FL.

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as a software development subject matter expert (SME) and supporting IT organizational objectives through the definition, development and execution of related methodologies, processes and tools in accordance with organizational priorities;

• Modernize the deployment landscape, processes, and governance of the company's databases and applications;

• Drive improvements to leverage continuous delivery;

• Design, code, and unit test software and supporting APIs across multiple systems using current programming languages and techniques;

• Lead the development and documentation of best practices and design patterns for modern enterprise application development;

• Anticipate internal/external business challenges and recommend and implement system value opportunities, including process optimization, policies and procedures, and end-user experience improvements;

• Indirectly lead other, less experienced, software developers in the implementation of all projects, including the planning and estimation of phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);

• Establish and maintain internal/external partnerships within the organization to maintain a unified approach to software development and deployment;

• Assist in facilitating the resolution of software and business information system issues;

• Conduct independent research on emerging software and application development products, languages, and standards, and provide recommendations in support of procurement and development efforts;

• Advocate for the professional development of software developers, including mentoring and coaching; and

• Provide strategic guidance to IT leadership, key stakeholders and end-users related to the implementation, integration and utilization of business information systems, applications, and tools across the organization.

Job Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field , plus five (5) years of progressive experience in any occupation which includes the required experience and skills .

Experience must include:

• 5 years of experience in design, development of high volume data processing and real-time streaming applications;

• 5 years of experience in data modelling;

• 5 years of experience in business intelligence;

• 3 years of experience in creating dashboards using any one or a combination of Tableaue or PowerBI;

• 2 years of experience in Qlik replicate, Qlik enterprise manager and Qlik Compose; and

• 1 year of experience in AWS or Azure.
