Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Full Stack Developer for a 12-month contract role with potential for extension or full-time hire. This hybrid position requires three onsite days per week and offers compensation of $80/hr - $90/hr.

Qualifications

• 8+ years frontend development experience with Angular and TypeScript.
• 2+ years backend development (Python preferred).
• 2+ years AWS experience.
• Proven experience designing and implementing modern, responsive Angular applications (Angular 19 preferred).
• Proficiency in state management using NgRx.
• Ability to translate Figma/design mockups into pixel-perfect implementations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Knowledge of Power BI implementation.
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge or strong interest in Generative AI, AWS Bedrock, and LLMs.
• Strong collaboration skills with UX teams and code reviews.
• Commitment to continuous learning in AI/AWS technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive Angular 19 front-end applications.
• Design and implement state management using NgRx (actions, reducers, etc.).
• Translate Figma/design mockups into pixel-perfect UI implementations.
• Collaborate with UX teams to identify and resolve UI/UX issues.
• Participate in peer reviews to ensure code quality and best practices.
• Create and maintain built-in test scripts for CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and implement AWS infrastructure using Terraform, including Lambda, API Gateway, RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, VPC, S3, CloudFront, and ALB configuration.
• Integrate applications with AWS services such as Bedrock LLM, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS.
• Configure and monitor AWS resources using CloudWatch (monitoring, logging, alarms).
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Allocate approximately 5% of time to application support activities.
• Implement Power BI solutions as needed.
• Apply knowledge of Generative AI and LLMs in application development.
• Stay updated with AI/AWS advancements.

ABOUT THE ROLE

WHAT YOU'LL DO

WHAT YOU BRING
