Job summary

Figma is hiring a Software Engineer Intern for 2026 to join a dedicated engineering team in one of our hubs (San Francisco or New York). You will work closely with mentors to ship meaningful features, tools, or systems while learning across infrastructure and user-facing components.

You’ll contribute to projects, write clean code in languages like C++, JavaScript, Python, or Java, and take part in code reviews and testing. Housing stipend and travel reimbursements are included.

Qualifications

• Experience writing clean code in at least one general-purpose language (C++, JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.).
• Familiarity with core CS concepts like data structures and algorithms.
• Experience on school, work, or personal projects solving technical problems.
• Interest in how systems are designed from infrastructure to UI.

Responsibilities

• Be fully embedded onto a Figma engineering team.
• Contribute to projects that align with team goals and impact.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers, and QA to plan timelines.
• Build, document, and maintain tests, features, or infrastructure.
• Share feedback and participate in peer code review.
• Ship your project(s) by the end of your internship.
