TikTok is offering a Software Engineer Intern position focused on Recommendation Architecture within the Feeds Infrastructure team. Based in Seattle, this 2027 Summer internship provides hands-on experience across ML-driven large-scale systems and real-time inference for the For You feed.

Ideal candidates are pursuing CS degrees (Bachelor's required, Master's preferred) and have experience with C/C++, Java or Golang, plus strong communication and ownership.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in programming with C, C++, Java or Golang.
• Effective communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.

Responsibilities

• Build globalized large-scale recommendation system.
• Build efficient data pipelines for candidates generation, ranking, profile generation, training examples, realtime online training.
• Coach AI to perform release process and production operations including online anomaly detection and safeguards.
