Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Software Engineer Intern for the 2027 Summer in San Jose to contribute to the Transaction Platform and monetization tooling.

You will design and develop components for advertising billing, fund accounts, and budget control, gaining hands-on experience with MySQL, Redis, Kafka, and Java while collaborating with a talented team to ensure system stability and scalability.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related majors.
• Deep understanding of architectures, data structures and algorithms.
• Strong coding and documentation style.
• Familiar with MySQL, Redis, Flink, ElasticSearch, Kafka, RPC.
• Hands-on software development experience, particularly with Java.
• Excellent communication and ability to connect technology with business.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications for monetization capital business (advertising billing, fund management, fund marketing, fund settlement, budget control).
• Help resolve stability challenges, scalability, and disaster recovery for high-concurrency systems.
• Continually optimize the system to evolve with business needs and growth.
