Job summary

Lyft is seeking a software engineering intern in San Francisco to work alongside senior engineers on user-facing products. You will own your project, refactor code, and help ensure reliability with comprehensive testing.

The role offers in-person collaboration in a hybrid environment and rapid delivery of live features. This internship requires currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, with graduation between December 2027 and Summer 2028.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in CS with expected graduation Dec 2027– Summer 2028
• Summer 2027 internship in San Francisco available
• Strong CS fundamentals and testing knowledge
• Experience with databases and mobile development is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own your project and provide updates to team members
• Improve code health through progressive refactoring
• Emphasize reliability with unit, integration and load tests
• Participate in code reviews to raise quality and share knowledge
• Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD)
• Contribute to making Lyft drivers and riders’ lives better through your work
