Job summary

Ascend Learning is seeking a Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to join a development team focused on a content authoring and delivery platform. You will design, develop, test, and maintain software using Microsoft technologies and work closely with senior engineers in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

The role is hybrid, based in Leawood, KS, with opportunities to contribute across the software lifecycle and gain hands-on experience in a real-world setting while pursuing a degree

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies or similar
• Knowledge of MS C#, JavaScript, MVC, SQL, HTML5/CSS3; MVVM framework (Angular) preferred
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and collaboration skills
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and support enhancements for the ATI Nursing platform using Angular, .NET Core, and related tech
• Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver projects
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to deployments when needed
