Job summary

Fervo Energy is offering a Software Engineer Intern position for a 12-week summer program. The intern will work with the IT team on real internal software projects, designing, building, and maintaining tools that support the business.

You’ll present your results to executives and fellow interns at the end of the program. We seek rising juniors to PhD candidates pursuing CS/SE or related fields, with strong communication, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to stakeholders
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and adapt quickly to new challenges
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python/JavaScript/Java)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain internal software applications and tools
• Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ship solutions
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
• Support integration between internal systems and third-party platforms
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack
