Optiver is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to work side-by-side with mentors and teammates to build real-world applications powering a global trading firm in Wisconsin. Projects are scoped to real team needs and production-ready, with mentorship invested in helping you deliver high-quality software that lasts.

You’ll contribute to meaningful problems and see your code hit production in real time, while collaborating with engineers, traders, and business teams to push the performance,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• On track to graduate between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Strong coding and systems-thinking mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deep dive into trading fundamentals and AI-enabled tools.
• Collaborate with engineers, traders and business teams to test and ship code to production.
• Tackle complex, real-world problems to improve performance and reliability.
• Push your limits and accelerate growth in a high-performing environment.
