Job summary

Snowflake is seeking interns who are passionate about building enterprise-grade, secure cloud software and systems. Work on cutting-edge database internals and distributed cloud infrastructure while learning from mentors and collaborating across teams.

You will gain hands-on experience in compiler design, query execution, streaming pipelines, and SQL features, with opportunities for full-time roles after the internship.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a college/university program during the internship (3rd year Bachelor up to Masters/PhD) in CS, CE, Physics, Math, or related field.
• Duration: 4 months minimum, 6 months recommended, up to 12 months supported; start date flexible.
• Foundational knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and operating systems.
• Programming experience in C++ or Java; familiarity with systems programming (multithreading, concurrency).
• Ability to collaborate in a team and solve problems creatively.
• Fluent written and spoken English skills.

What You Will Learn & Gain

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university program during the time of the internship (from 3rd year Bachelor up to Master's or PhD levels) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related technical field.

• Duration: 4 month minimum, 6 months recommended, up to 12 months supported, start date flexible

• Target start dates: February 2027 and onward

• Foundational knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and operating systems.

• Programming experience in C++ or Java, and familiarity with systems programming concepts (e.g., multi-threading, concurrency).

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and solve problems creatively.

• Fluent written and spoken English skills.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have, Not Required):

• Coursework or familiarity with database systems, distributed systems, cloud computing, or compilers.

• Experience or interest in big data engineering, data processing, or geospatial features.

• Contributions to open-source projects, research experience, or publications in databases/distributed systems.
