Bloom is an AI-powered career platform that helps software engineers get hired faster. We’re a small, fast-moving team building features across our web app, backend services, and AI systems behind job matching and auto-apply.

As a Software Engineer Intern, you'll work with senior engineers on frontend (React/TypeScript), backend (Python/Node.js), REST APIs, and AI components. You'll receive mentorship, own features, and a clear path to a full-time role.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed Bachelor's or Master's in CS/IT.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and OOP.
• Basic familiarity with web development and REST APIs.
• Personal projects, open-source work, hackathons, or prior internships showing build
• Curiosity about AI/LLMs and eagerness to learn fast.
• Clear communication and a collaborative attitude.
• Availability for 3-6 months.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features across frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Python/Node.js).
• Develop and integrate REST APIs powering core product workflows.
• Help build LLM-powered features such as search, summarization, and content generation.
• Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Debug issues, fix bugs, and improve performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with product and design to turn feedback into working features.
• Learn engineering fundamentals: Git workflows, testing, CI/CD, and monitoring.

About the Role

We're looking for a Software Engineer Intern to join our product engineering team. You'll work alongside senior engineers on features across our web app, backend services, and the automation and AI systems behind job matching and auto-apply. You'll get hands-on mentorship, real ownership, and a clear path to a full-time role.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship features across our frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Python/Node.js)
• Develop and integrate REST APIs that power core product workflows
• Help build LLM-powered features such as search, summarization, and content generation
• Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and OOP
• Basic familiarity with web development and REST APIs
• Personal projects, open-source work, hackathons, or prior internships that show you build things
• Curiosity about AI/LLMs and eagerness to learn fast
• Clear communication and a collaborative attitude
• Availability for [3-6 months]

Nice to Have

• Experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or RAG
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and Docker
• A public GitHub profile or portfolio
