This role emphasizes working with React UI, Express/Node.js backend services, and AI-assisted development tools. You will participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to code reviews, and help improve documentation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Coursework or project experience building web applications.
• Exposure to debugging and troubleshooting application issues.
• Academic, personal, or internship experience testing web applications (manual or automated).

Responsibilities

• Develop new features based on product specifications.
• Implement UI with React and backend with Express/Node.js.
• Participate in AI-first development and tool-assisted coding.
• Troubleshoot bugs identified by QA, customers, or tests.
• Write and maintain unit tests to improve code quality.

Job Summary:

The Software Engineer Intern works as part of the Product Development team to design, build, and enhance modern web applications that support FacilityForce’s portfolio of solutions. This role is intended for students who are seeking hands-on, real-world experience.

Job Description:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in developing new application features based on specifications provided by Product Management and senior engineers
• Implement UI components using React and supporting backend services using Express / Node.js
• Participate in AI-first development, including using AI-assisted coding tools, prompt-driven workflows, and automation to accelerate development and testing
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs identified by QA, customers, or internal testing
• Write and maintain unit tests to improve code quality and coverage
• Participate in peer code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior developers
• Support technical documentation efforts, including code comments and internal documentation
• Attend Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute actively
• Review and provide feedback on Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) under guidance

Required Education & Experience

• Currently enrolled or recently completed in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Coursework or project experience building web applications
• Exposure to debugging and troubleshooting application issues
• Academic, personal, or internship experience testing web applications (manual or automated)
