Job summary

Direct Supply's Software Engineer Intern role offers hands-on experience building and maintaining software that transforms healthcare delivery. You'll join an AI-first engineering team to develop, test and enhance applications while learning AI, automation and modern development practices.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in CS/CE/SE degree program.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript or C#.
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Able to work 15–20 hours weekly during the school year and 40 hours in the summer.

Responsibilities

• Design & build software applications that support customer and business needs.
• Write, test and maintain code while learning practices for building secure, scalable and reliable software.
• Use AI-dev tools to accelerate learning, improve development efficiency and support software quality.
• Collaborate with Product teams to understand requirements, solve customer challenges.

• Test and troubleshoot software, identify issues and help implement practical solutions.

In the Software Engineer Intern position, you'll gain hands-on experience building and maintaining software that transforms healthcare delivery. What You'll Do and Impact:

• Design & build software applications that support customer and business needs.

• Write, test and maintain code while learning practices for building secure, scalable and reliable software.

• Use AI-dev tools to accelerate learning, improve development efficiency and support software quality.

• Collaborate with Product teams to understand requirements, solve customer challenges.

Experience:

• Enrolled in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering degree program.

• Experience with one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C#).

• Demonstrated basic knowledge of databases and SQL, enabling effective handling of data storage and retrieval tasks.

• Ability to work part time (15-20 hours) during the school year and full time (40 hours) during the summer.
