As a Software Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to software engineering in an enterprise IT environment, contribute to SET initiatives, and collaborate with teams to deliver solutions that support business needs.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or other degree program.
• Focus in AI Engineering, Information Technology within a College of Engineering, IT Security, or a related field.
• Completed at least one semester of coursework.
• Areas of study may include AI Engineering or IT-related fields.
• Willingness to work full-time during the Summer Internship Program.

Responsibilities

• Learn about SET IT processes, practices, and software engineering delivery.
• Apply software engineering concepts while contributing to active SET initiatives and projects.
• Support the team with assigned development and technology-related activities.
• Collaborate with team members while gaining exposure to real-world IT projects and delivery.

The JM Family College Internship Program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. As part of this program, you will actively contribute to your team’s success, learn about JM Family’s companies and culture while obtaining new skills through learning opportunities, networking events and much more.

The ideal candidate will be available to work full-time during the Summer Internship Program (May 24th, 2027 - July 30th, 2027).

Interns will engage in meaningful work and gain insights into specific projects or tasks, providing hands‑on experience, and contributing to various department initiatives. They will learn about JM Family’s culture including our core values: Consideration, Cooperation, Communication, Innovation and Accountability. These core values are part of our keys to success and the skills that embody these values are what drive our success as an organization.

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will gain hands‑on exposure to software engineering in an enterprise IT environment. This internship provides an opportunity to build practical experience while learning how technology teams collaborate to deliver solutions that support business needs.

• The ideal candidate will be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or other degree‑seeking program at an accredited college or university, with a focus in a relevant field. Candidates in related fields will also be considered. Must have completed at least one semester of coursework.
• Areas of study may include AI Engineering, Information Technology within a College of Engineering, IT Security, or a related field.
• Relevant completed coursework may include classes related to the role or similar.
• Additional requirements or preferred qualifications may include specific skills or experiences.
