Job summary

Apple is seeking a software engineer to join the Edge Engineering team, focusing on configuring the Edge Infrastructure that powers Apple’s global Content Delivery Network.

You will develop and maintain scalable software using Go, Rust, C++, and Swift, collaborating across teams to drive performance and reliability. Experience with Kubernetes, OpenAPI, gRPC/Protobuf, Terraform/OpenTofu, and proxy systems like Envoy is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent job-related experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience with languages such as Go, Rust, C++, Swift.

Description

We’re looking for a software engineer with a unique blend of experience and interest in systems, architecture, network and software development practices. You will be part of a forward-thinking and dynamic team responsible for supporting Apple’s Edge Infrastructure. Our team is responsible for systems which configure the Edge for Apple.

Minimum Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent job-related experience5+ years of software development experience with languages such as Go, Rust, C++, Swift, etc

Preferred Qualifications

A passion for solving complex problems at scale and driving technical innovation.Experience with domain-specific languages (DSLs), versioned and compatibility of configurations, interpreter concepts, and configuration developer tools.Knowledge of networking protocols like HTTP, TLS, or TCP/IP.OpenAPI, gRPC/Protobuf, Terraform/OpenTofuExperience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes such as Helm, Pulumi, FluxFamiliarity with proxy systems such as NGINX or Envoy.
