Job summary

NewGen Technologies in Chantilly, VA, seeks a senior software engineer/architect to support customers with software engineering and architecture. TS/SCI FSP clearance is required, along with a Bachelor's degree in CS or a related field.

You will lead full-stack development across Java, Spring, and Python, design complex architectures for web apps and cloud solutions, and drive a technical vision aligned to customer objectives.

Qualifications

Requirements

• TS/SCI FSP Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience and strong technical background in full-stack development, with experience in multiple programming languages and technologies
• Demonstrated experience with developing applications using program languages, including Java, and Java using Spring and Python
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing technical architectures for complex systems, including web applications, collection systems, network solutions, and cloud-based solutions
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with AWS cloud solutions, including design, implementation, and management
• Demonstrated experience with Al, machine learning, or other emerging technologies, with a willingness to explore and adopt new technologies
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with development teams, stakeholders, and external partners
• Demonstrated ability to develop and articulate a clear technical vision and recommendations, aligning with customer technical requirements and business objectives
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions
• Demonstrated experience with Agile development methodologies and JIRA
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, technically challenging area; ability to anticipate and manage changes or problems; assess impacts and recommend sound solutions
