$55.00/hr - $60.00/hr

Immediate need for a talented Software Engineer in Test (Webservice Testing) . This is a 17+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Salt Lake City, UT (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $55 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

Key Skills; Web Services testing experience
Test Automation with Jest on the backend and Playwright for UI
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience is required
Minimum of 5+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience
Proficiency or proven ability to learn professional software development skills and practices.
Examples include:Coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, design patterns, Object- Oriented Design and Development, and Software design principles.
Experience with test automation tools e.g. Jest / Playwright
Web Services testing experience, preferably with Bruno Postman
BDD experience or familiarity – Gherkin experience is a plus
Experience with authorization e.g. RBAC and ABAC, is a plus
Experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA) and Rego, is a plus
Experience with agile methodology and tool sets (JIRA)
Ability to work effectively on a multi-regional team
Ability to read and enhance scripts and code
Solid understanding of the software development process, including planning, analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, and problem resolution
Have the ability to contribute to the Test Pyramid definition for our product
Participate in understanding and refinement of User Stories, QA-related tasks and test cases, and functional automation
Log defects/issues and work with team members to ensure resolution
Participate in production release deployment verification on a regular cadence
Top Skills are going to be Web Services Testing, and Test Automation with Jest on the backend and Playwright for UI. The other skills are all flexible.
