Job summary

Iris Software Inc. seeks a Sr SDET Engineer in Whippany, NJ for a long-term contract. The role requires hands-on expertise in test automation architecture, BDD, and Playwright, with strong SQL, JavaScript, and Python skills.

The position involves 3 onsite days weekly (Wednesday–Friday) and collaboration across UI, API, ETL, and E2E testing layers. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks, generate robust test reports, and drive quality across all testing

Qualifications

• Experience building test automation architecture.
• Familiar with BDD (Gherkin), Cucumber, Playwright, SQL, JavaScript and Python.
• Good knowledge of processing data in JSON, XML, CSV and property files.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions.
• Thorough understanding of test and defect management processes.
• Ability to publish results of automated tests.
• Ideally experience across component, UI, API/Integration, ETL and E2E.

Job Title: Sr SDET Engineer

Location: Whippany NJ (3 days onsite per week, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday)

• Prior experience of building test automation architecture.
• Familiar with BDD (Gherkin), Cucumber, Playwright, SQL, Java script and Python (nice to have).
• Good knowledge in processing data in various file formats, Json, XML, csv and property files.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality automation solutions.
• Thorough understanding of Test Management and Defect Management processes.
• Ability to generate effective test reports and publish results of automated tests.
• Ideally experience with all layers of test automation including component, UI, API / Integration, ETL and E2E.
