Requirements
- Overall 9 years of career experience in Automation Testing with Java.
- Strong Java coding experience.
- Proficiency with JUnit, JBehave, or Cucumber frameworks.
- Experience in regression testing through multiple environments.
- Testing of Web services, Web UI, and APIs.
- Ability to create acceptance and integration test automation scripts and integrate them with continuous integration pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and code coverage tools (Sonar, Clover).
- Passionate about code quality and coding best practices.
- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix.
- Sound knowledge of Java, Spring, Eclipse IDE, Rest Assured, database handling, REST/SOAP APIs, continuous delivery concepts and tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, and vulnerability scanners such as Sonar, Checkmarx, Fortify, etc.
- Strong knowledge of traditional testing methodologies and applying exploratory testing in an Agile environment.
- No C2C or third‑party candidates.
Description
This position will be responsible for delivering Test Engineering services, including Regression Testing, Code Quality, Testing Services, Testing and Environment Automation, Development Collaboration, and Continuous Integration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Author automated test suites with code, front‑end GUI automation, and API testing.
- Perform regression and integration testing as releases move through different environments before Production deployment.
- Identify testing gaps via regression testing and work with Test/Development teams to resolve them.
- Conduct ad hoc/exploratory testing methodically to ensure the system works as expected by the end user.
- Comprehend user stories to understand task items per story across all levels of testing (unit, functional, integration, regression).
- Track regression testing progress and defects via Rally.
- Participate in the process to continually enhance best practices for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with technology staff including Test Engineers, Developers, DevOps Engineers, Product and Program Management to identify scope and deliver services.
- Drive adoption of development services (Quality Engineering, Performance Engineering, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Collaboration) across delivery teams.
- Work in an Agile environment, attend daily stand‑up calls, provide daily status reports, and flag any issues or blockers that may delay release delivery.
