Software Engineer in Test I (Remote - Bogota, Colombia)

Role Overview:

As a Software Engineer in Test, you will support test development and execution for Anthology’s new features and legacy systems. You will be an active member of an agile team, participating in daily stand-ups, design sessions, code reviews, and sprint demos. Your responsibilities include creating and maintaining automation frameworks and testing tools, developing test strategies that balance unit, integration/API, and UI tests, and designing complex testing environments. You will perform comprehensive verification including functional, regression, load, and system testing, along with documentation. The role focuses on building functionality for Anthology’s Blackboard Learn applications within a Scrum team.

Candidate Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in QA manual testing and automation
• Experience developing test automation scripts for web applications and REST APIs
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Webdriver IO, Protractor, and TypeScript
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Ability to understand database configurations and write complex SQL queries
• Basic experience with scripting languages like shell or bash
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JavaScript, XML, JSON
• Experience with PractiTest and Azure Test Plans is a plus
• Knowledge of build environments like Jenkins, Docker, and Mesos
• Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above
