SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). This role is critical in maintaining and elevating the standard of our software products. We're looking for an SDET who is passionate about software testing and has a strong inclination towards automation. The individual will work closely with tech and business teams to identify testing requirements, explore new testing techniques, and ensure their effective integration.

What you’d be doing:

• Test throughout a project's lifecycle, developing, executing, and verifying test cases.
• Collaborate with the development team to prioritize automation and build comprehensive test suites.
• Define clear stories with precise acceptance criteria in a scrum team.
• Evaluate test results, report flaws, and identify automation opportunities.
• Report test progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Track software defects, identify patterns, and suggest solutions.
• Provide testing effort estimates for planning.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Experience in automated testing for web applications and backend services.
• Knowledge of system testing best practices and test coverage enhancement.
• Ability to write clear, detailed test plans and cases.
• Experience with test automation in CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with tools like Selenium/Playwright, Python, Open API, Git, and Jira.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, remote environments.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of hands-on testing experience in agile setups.
• Experience in automated scripting and understanding of REST API, SOAP, JSON.

Highly preferred candidates also have:

• Insurance or Financial Industry experience.
• Experience in performance, load, and security testing.
