Job summary

Career Movement is hiring an experienced SQA engineer in Irvine, CA to join a team developing software and medical device solutions used in healthcare. The role focuses on building and maintaining test automation in C# and ensuring quality under FDA design controls in a regulated environment.

You will test tablet-based clinical software, validate UI, REST APIs, and the SQL data layer, and contribute to verification documentation and traceability throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain custom test automation frameworks in C# (roughly 80% of the role)
• Develop and execute test plans for a tablet based clinical software application
• Validate functionality across UI, REST APIs, and the SQL data layer
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution, working closely with development
• Contribute to test documentation aligned with verification and validation practices, including traceability matrices and test protocols
• Collaborate cross functionally with engineering and product stakeholders in an agile environment to ensure quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle

This role sits within a regulated medical device environment, so quality and traceability matter as much as speed. You'll be testing software that ultimately supports FDA design controls.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant SQA experience
• 1+ year of C# development (you need to be able to write C# for this to be a fit)
• Experience working in a scrum or agile environment

• Prior experience in medical device, life sciences, or another regulated software industry
