Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineer in Test for a long-term hybrid contract based in Durham, NC. The role focuses on developing scalable test automation strategies, enhancing software quality, and improving deployment reliability, with onsite attendance Tue-Thu.

You will work with principal engineering teams on modernization initiatives, CI/CD integration, and cloud-based testing, leveraging Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, and JMeter across web apps, APIs, and microservices.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of experience building automated test frameworks using Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or JMeter.
• Strong programming experience with C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent DevOps technologies.
• Experience performing UI, performance, load, and integration testing within cloud-based environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies, source control management, and software development lifecycle best practices.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with onsite attendance three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Piper Companies is seeking a Software Engineer in Test to join a leading organization within the technology and digital solutions industry for a long-term hybrid contract opportunity based out of Durham, NC. The Software Engineer in Test will support innovative platform modernization initiatives by partnering with principal engineering teams to develop scalable test automation strategies, enhance software quality, and improve deployment reliability. This role requires onsite attendance Tuesday through Thursday and offers the potential for future conversion to a full-time position based on business needs and performance.

Responsibilities of the Software Engineer in Test include:

Compensation for the Software Engineer in Test:

Salary Range: $40-$50/hr (USD)
