Job summary

Photon is seeking a senior QA Automation Engineer in Dallas to join our software testing team. You will design and implement automated tests for front-end and web services, write robust Groovy/Geb and Java/HttpClient based tests, and help shape quality across the SDLC in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities include expanding test coverage, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with developers to improve testability and reliability of the product.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience testing and automating front-end and webservice applications.
• Proficient in Java, C#, Groovy, HTTP, and RESTful services.
• Experience testing Angular web applications and web services.

• Write and maintain automated tests across unit, integration, and performance levels.

Job description

• 7+ years of experience testing and automating front-end and webservice applications
• Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming languages (Java, C#, Groovy, etc.), HTTP, RESTful web services, Jenkins, and Git
• Experience testing and automating webservices (HttpClient, RestAssured, JMeter, SoapUI, etc.)
• Ability to investigate and debug issues with front-end applications and web services
• Experience testing Angular web applications
• Knowledge of software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience in delivering software in the Agile environment.
• Experience with APIs, RestAssured

Primary Responsibilities

• Use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote accurate engineering practices, and ensure security and reliability
• Actively participate in the development process by writing and maintaining application features and automated tests, including unit, component, integration, functional, performance, scenario, and interoperability tests
• Support the team in creating reliable, portable, and trustworthy tests, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with team members on improving team's test coverage, release velocity and production health
• Design and develop test automation for front-end applications and web services using Groovy/Geb and Java/HttpClient
• Participate in application code and test code reviews with the Agile team
