Job summary

Verily Life Sciences LLC is seeking a Software Engineer in Boston, MA to help design, develop, and deploy full‑stack features across our precision health platform. You will collaborate with product and research teams to convert ideas into scalable software, using Go and React on cloud infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of software experience, strong React skills, and familiarity with cloud providers such as Google Cloud.

Description

As a Software Engineer at Verily, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing products that are focused on the promise of precision health. Verily's core strategy to advance precision health is by closing the gap between research and care. The Verily Me team is building exciting technology for our Patients/Participants that drive engagement and unlock user value. We are a team of full-stack and backend developers building an amazing platform that delivers personalized, data driven experiences.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the development team to design, develop, and deliver new full-stack software features across a range of Verily products.
• Come up with ideas to technical design problems, compare options, and propose solutions.
• Develop using industry-standard tools including GitHub, Google Cloud, Go, React, Docker, and Terraform to name a few.

Minimum Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
• 3+ years of experience as a software developer in an industry setting.
• 2+ years of experience with React.
• Expertise in building software and systems on any of: GCP, AWS or Azure (GCP preferred).
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with Go, TypeScript, and/or SQL.
• Experience with designing and implementing scalable data processing pipelines with BigQuery or other analytics-oriented databases.
• Education or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR.

Eligibility & Compensation

Qualified applicants must not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000 - $176,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
