Google Inc. is hiring a Share Software Engineer III for Pixel Audio in Mountain View, CA. You will design and develop audio experiences on Pixel devices, applying novel audio technology and models.

The role spans embedded to high-level OS applications, with collaboration across Audio Research and partner teams to integrate offerings on Pixel phones. Strong emphasis on debugging and real-time audio processing within a consumer electronics context.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for design and development of audio experiences on Pixel devices, integrating novel audio technology and models.
  • Work on features at the AI and human speech and audio interface.
  • Work closely with Audio Research and other technology partner teams to integrate their offerings on Pixel phones.
  • Implement experiences and features, working with codebases throughout the stack from embedded to high level OS application.
  • Deliver performant solutions in highly constrained embedded compute environments, respecting power, performance, latency and user-experience tradeoffs.
