Job summary

Google Inc. in Boulder, CO is seeking a Software Engineer III, Generative AI for the Workspace Drive team to help scale AI-powered productivity tools for billions of users.

You will join a fast-paced team that builds AI-enabled features across Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Sheets, and more. You will write production-grade code, collaborate with world-class engineers, and contribute to GenAI initiatives while mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required.
  • 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
  • GenAI techniques (LLMs, multi-modal, large vision models) or GenAI-related concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure best practices.
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content to product updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve impact on hardware, network, or service operations.
  • Implement GenAI solutions and contribute to data preparation, optimization, and performance enhancements.

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure best practices amongst available technologies (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Implement GenAI solutions, utilize ML infrastructure, and contribute to data preparation, optimization, and performance enhancements.
