Job summary

Google Mountain View, CA is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Generative AI Content within the Search Platforms group. You will own outcomes, influence stakeholders, and build scalable GenAI and content understanding capabilities.

You will lead ML design, optimize infrastructure, and collaborate with Research, Search, and Ads teams to integrate GenAI features across Google surfaces.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 5 years of experience leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine tuning).
  • 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or GenAI concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy GenAI technology to empower Content understanding and AI Generated Content framework.
  • Be responsible for conducting applied research on new GenAI techniques to explore Content Experience and Direction.
  • Work with collaborating teams (e.g., Research, Search, Ads) engineers to integrate GenAI technology into our Content products and services.
  • Contribute to goals and roadmaps of Search Content Platform’s next generation.
