Software Engineer III (Full-Stack, .NET + SPA)

About this position: GoEngineer is looking to add a new Senior Software Engineer to join our development team that focuses on our customer-facing solutions. You’ll help us build, design, test, deploy, and modernize the web-based tools and portals our customers use every day to access support, manage their accounts, and interact with our services.

This role is full-stack and highly collaborative. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve customer experiences, working on user-facing systems. GoEngineer provides industry-leading design platforms, engineering software, and 3D Printing technology to make design processes innovative and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of software using modern .NET (.NET LTS, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, SQL).
• Migrate legacy ASP.NET MVC apps to modern SPAs using React or Angular.
• Build and document secure, scalable RESTful APIs with proper authentication (OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT).
• Write thoughtful unit and integration tests (MSTest, NUnit, xUnit).
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Bicep.
• Contribute to improving team practices at an enterprise scale.
• Mentor peers and support junior developers, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to meet customer and business needs.
• Balance priorities within an active backlog, adapting to project needs.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in back-end development with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, EF Core, SQL.
• 3+ years of experience with React or Angular for front-end development.
• Experience migrating legacy systems to modern architectures.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools (Azure DevOps, Bicep).
• Ability to manage changing priorities without compromising quality.
• Mentoring mindset, supporting teammates of varying experience levels.
• Integrity and self-awareness in using AI tools in workflows and communication.
• Strong focus on testing and quality assurance.
• Customer-centric mindset, even in a non-customer-facing role.
• Familiarity with portal-style applications is a plus.
• Experience with enterprise systems or platforms is a bonus.
• Comfort working in an Agile environment within a broader Waterfall organization.
