Job summary

Google in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deliver scalable systems for large-scale data processing and user-facing applications. You will join a team that tackles distributed computing, AI, and UI design, with opportunities to switch projects as the company grows.

Applicants should have strong programming experience and a track record in full-stack development, APIs, and performance analysis, and must be excited to work across the full stack at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience programming in C++, Python, or Java.
• 2 years of experience programming in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• 2 years of experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development or API development.

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.
