Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of software engineers to maintain and enhance the foundational platform for the employer’s infrastructure
• Develop software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of the compute platform
• Provide feedback on the technical and strategic direction of the compute platform
• Automate critical aspects of development processes and infrastructure operations
• Share on-call responsibilities with the Compute team

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing internet-scale software, preferably in infrastructure
• Proficiency in Go programming language
• Experience developing on Kubernetes or similar distributed systems
• Understanding of Linux operating systems and multi-tenancy primitives
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities for systems and software issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Kubernetes controller or operator development
• Prior experience in engineering large-scale distributed systems with a focus on automation and platform engineering
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration within a service-oriented team
