Job summary

Cullerton Group has an opportunity for a Software Engineer 3 to work onsite in Mossville, Illinois, on a 12-month assignment that could lead to permanent employment. Compensation is up to $56/hour plus full benefits.

The role focuses on developing, validating, and deploying control software for power and industrial systems, with emphasis on control algorithms, SIL/HIL testing, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver robust software solutions.

Qualifications

Master’s degree with 3+ years of industry experience.
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, Simscape Power Systems, co-simulation, and model-based development techniques.
Strong knowledge of linear control theory, PID control, and advanced control methodologies.
Experience developing embedded software for real-time operating systems or Linux-based environments.
Experience with software debugging tools and development environments.
Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy software and control algorithms for advanced engineering systems.
Perform SIL and HIL simulations to validate software performance.
Research, evaluate, and implement new control strategies and optimization algorithms.
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop software requirements and analyze system performance.
Troubleshoot software issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Utilize version control and development tools for testing and release activities.
Communicate findings and project status to stakeholders.
