Job summary

Google is seeking software engineers to work on projects critical to our needs, with opportunities to switch teams as our fast-paced business grows and evolves.

Our Ads team focuses on premium ads, bidding algorithms, and auction pricing, driving product quality and growth. You will contribute to infrastructure, algorithms, data analysis, and machine learning to deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 2 years of experience with software development in Python or C++.
• 1 year of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.

Responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing sources of issues and impact on hardware, network, or service operations.

There is a big focus on improving Ads Quality, and contributions in the bidding area would drive product quality and growth. Our team owns the core bidding algorithm and feedback loop that go into Auction ranking and pricing.

US: $147000 - $210000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
