Job summary

Reflexive Concepts is hiring a Software Engineer III to design, develop, and maintain tools and services supporting the Atlassian product suite, including Jira and Confluence. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams across software development, system administration, and project management to deliver seamless integrations.

The candidate should have strong Linux experience, Python/Java development, and exposure to CI/CD and automation with Ansible or similar tools, with TS/SCI-level

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI + FS Polygraph required.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years SWE experience in similar contracts.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years SWE experience in similar contracts.
• Nine years of SWE experience in programs/contracts of similar scope and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain tools and services that support the Atlassian product suite (Jira/Confluence).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers.
• Deliver integrations that enhance productivity and streamline mission workflows.
• Document configurations, procedures, and system changes.

Reflexive Concepts is seeking a skilled Software Engineer III to join our team!

The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain the tools and services that support the Atlassian product suite, including Jira and Confluence. This role works closely with cross-functional teams — software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers — to deliver seamless integrations that enhance productivity and streamline mission workflows.

Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI + FS Polygraph
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity OR
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity OR
• Nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required Skills + Experience

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
• Experience writing Bash/PHP scripts to automate administrative tasks and workflows
• Recent software development experience using Python and Java
• Experience using an integrated development environment such as the Atlassian plugin software developer kit (SDK)
• Experience with IaC principles and automation tools such as Ansible
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Experience creating documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes
• Experience with Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration

Desired Skills + Experience

• Experience with sustaining mission applications deployed in a Linux environment
• Experience with interacting/training external customers
