Job summary

AbbVie Inc. in North Chicago, IL is seeking an Associate Software Engineer II to contribute to the digital transformation of our BTS team.

You will develop user‑friendly web applications and data analysis pipelines that evolve with scientists’ needs, independently identifying and implementing new software solutions. The role emphasizes secure, scalable front‑end and back‑end work, collaboration with scientists and IT, and ongoing learning to stay ahead in web technologies and AI-enhanced

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field and 0–2 years experience depending on degree.
Strong programming skills in Java, SQL and TypeScript.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with scientists and IT professionals.

Responsibilities

Independently design and develop software addressing scientific/business questions across languages, data integration and analytics.
Design, develop, and maintain front-end components of enterprise applications.
Ensure security and integrity of software solutions and data.
Continuously learn emerging web technologies and data analysis tools to improve processes.
