Job summary

SimpliSafe in Boston is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our User Systems team to develop and maintain our cloud-based backend systems powering our native mobile applications.

You will collaborate with frontend and backend engineers, QA and product managers to design, build, test, deploy and maintain scalable backend services, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science (or a related field) and/or 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Familiarity with DevOps principles.
• A sense of ownership and accountability.
• Passion for software development, continuous learning and a growth mindset.

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain backend systems owned by the User Systems team.

What You\'ll Do

The target annual base pay range for this role is $93,800 to$125,100

This target annual base pay range represents our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually. We carefully tailor individual compensation packages, including base pay, taking into consideration employees’ job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and other relevant business factors.
