Job summary

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled software engineer to help build the RDS Telemetry Platform that captures and routes telemetry across Aurora and RDS databases, delivering insights to customers through multiple products.

You will own end-to-end engineering including development, testing, deployment, and operational excellence for a massively scalable service in a customer-facing AWS environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of programming in Java, C++, or C# with OO design.
• 1+ years contributing to systems architecture and design.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of SDLC and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop telemetry capture/storage for Aurora/RDS and surface to downstream products.
• Explore innovative solutions using telemetry to help troubleshoot and optimize performance.
• Ensure the service is scalable, fault tolerant, and integrates with AWS service ecosystem.
• Own development, testing, deployment, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve ambiguity and drive solutions.
