Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Software Engineer Level 2 to join the Payload & Ground Software Engineering team. On-site role requiring TS/SCI clearance; expect to develop and maintain software for ground systems on Linux/Unix with modern languages and tools.

You will work independently in a fast-paced environment, translating change requests into efficient designs, and collaborate with leads and customers across mission-critical programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of software development experience OR Master’s degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance; US citizenship required.
• Experience on Linux/Unix; exposure to Agile methods and Atlassian tools.
• Familiarity with asynchronous messaging systems and API integration.
• Server-side languages include C++, Python, Node.js, Go or Java.
