Mastercard is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the DMP team in Vancouver. You will implement Java-based application logic, participate in testing at multiple levels, and collaborate with senior engineers to deliver secure, scalable software.

Requirements include strong Java, Spring, SQL/Oracle knowledge, and experience with high-performance systems. Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, and related tools are a plus. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills with deep knowledge of Java.
• Excellent knowledge of Spring and other frameworks.
• Good knowledge of unit testing and mocking frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Easymock).
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience working with Oracle.
• Experience working with high performance applications.
• Strong problem diagnostic and creative problem solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks within timelines.

Responsibilities

• Implement application logic in Java.
• Write unit testing, integration testing and functional testing.
• Reach out to senior team members for help if blocked.
• Participate in all the scrum ceremonies.
• Apply best development practices to write well designed, maintainable, testable, scalable, and secure code.
• Mentor junior members of the team.
• Work with stakeholders to provide updates on development and next steps.
• Support team by completing committed tasks in the iteration.
