Job summary

Weeghman & Briggs is actively seeking a Software Engineer 2 to support mission-critical government programs in Annapolis Junction, MD. This on-site role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and offers a full-time path on a growing Enterprise IT contract.

The team develops AI-enabled workflows, LLM-based capabilities, and integration with existing systems. A Bachelor's (or 14 SWE years) plus 3+ years in AI/ML contexts are expected, with multiple advanced qualifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 14 years SWE experience in similar scope and complexity.
• 3+ years in AI/ML, data science, or software eng in cyber/national security environments.
• Bachelor's in CS or related discipline (or 4 extra SWE years in lieu).
• Experience capturing workflows and translating to executable logic.
• Experience with LLM/agentic workflows and API integration.

Responsibilities

• Support mission-critical government programs.
• Design and implement AI-enabled capabilities and workflows.
• Lead software development teams as appropriate.
• Develop and review software and system documentation.
• Coordinate with system engineers and mission leadership to meet performance goals.
